Duties and responsibilities:
- Execution of day-to-day insurance operations, which entails new business development and cross-selling of insurance products, claims administration and documentation
- Timely follow-up on renewals to ensure business retentions that would otherwise lead to income leakages.
- Develop good working relationships with various Departments, working closely with branches, the business development & credit team to generate insurance business and leads through their customers.
- Ensure customer inquiries are resolved promptly as per laid-down policies and procedures.
- Champion insurance products training at the Branch level to sensitize both staff and customers on insurance products.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures in regard to Bancassurance business
- Providing timely and accurate quotations within the turnaround times.
- Gathering market intelligence to ensure updated product range.
- Identifying client needs and recommending suitable insurance solutions.
Knowledge; Skills and Experience required for this Role
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Computer literate and possessing excellent presentation skills.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Bancassuarance in a MFI.
Academic qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field.
- Over 3 years’ experience in an MFI.
- Professional membership by AKII
- Understanding of and experience with Insurance products and processes
